Your commission data is the business. We treat it that way.
This page explains how Modero protects the data advisors put in it: how it is encrypted, who can access it, how you get it out, and where our compliance work stands. Self-serve buyers cannot ask a sales rep these questions, so the answers live here, in plain language.
Encryption
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS and encrypted at rest. There is no plan where your statements travel or sit unencrypted.
Access control
Workspace access is role based: you choose who sees commission data, who manages modules, and what clients see in the portal, which is only ever their own inventory and services. Internally, production access is limited to the engineers who operate the platform and is logged.
Your data is yours
Full export at any time, on every tier, including free. Canceling a module never deletes the records it managed, and there is no fee to leave with your data. Lock-in is a product failure, not a strategy.
Infrastructure
Modero runs on major cloud infrastructure with automated backups and separation between customer workspaces.
Compliance, honestly
A straight answer instead of a wall of badges: Modero is not yet SOC 2 certified. The audit is on our roadmap, and this page will say so the day it completes, with the report available on request. We would rather tell you that plainly than imply otherwise.

If you believe you have found a security issue, contact us through the contact page with the subject line Security. Reports go straight to engineering, and we will respond.
