How this works

Network as a Service lets a circuit change bandwidth tier by the hour rather than holding one speed all month. You pay a fixed port access fee plus an hourly rate for whichever tier is active. This models a timetable: the peak tier during the business hours you select, the off-peak tier for every other hour of a 720-hour month.

Calculation basis

Transparent assumptions, visible inputs

The model uses a 720-hour month. Business-hour costs use the selected peak tier. Every remaining hour uses the selected off-peak tier. Port access is added per circuit after the entered discount, and at both ends of an Ethernet on Demand link. One-time charges are shown separately and never enter a monthly total.

Auto Flux figures are modeled rather than measured: scaling events are what the rules you set would have produced against the demand you describe or upload. An uploaded utilization report is read in your own browser and never sent to Modero.

What does the Lumen IoD calculator estimate?

It compares a static peak bandwidth tier running all month with a schedule that uses the peak tier during selected business hours and an off-peak tier at other times.

Can I model more than one client location?

Yes. Put locations with the same schedule and bandwidth into one site group, then add groups for locations with different requirements.

Are the results a carrier quote?

No. Results are planning scenarios based on the displayed hourly rates, a normalized 720-hour month, selected port fees, and the values entered. Confirm eligibility and pricing with the applicable provider quote.

Can I send the scenario to a client?

Yes. Copy a shareable scenario link or use the print control to create a PDF from the current calculation.

Can I put the calculator on my website?

Yes. Copy the Modero embed code from this page, or request an approved partner profile with your agency's name, color, disclosure, and destination.

What is the difference between the schedule and Auto Flux modes?

A schedule holds the peak tier during the business hours you choose and an off-peak tier the rest of the time. Auto Flux instead holds the smallest tier that covers demand in each hour, scaling up immediately and scaling down after a run of quiet hours.

Can I upload a utilization report?

Yes. In Auto Flux mode you can drop in a .csv or .xlsx utilization report exported from a carrier portal. The file is read in your own browser and is never uploaded to Modero.

How does the calculator price Ethernet on Demand?

Ethernet on Demand uses its own hourly rate ladder and can be disconnected entirely outside business hours. Because it is a point to point link, port access is charged at both ends of every link.

Does the estimate include one-time charges?

No. Where a security add-on is attached to a service that already exists, the one-time charge is shown as a separate line and is never part of a monthly total.

Can I embed just one mode?

Yes. The embed builder on this page can pin the calculator to the bandwidth schedule, Auto Flux, or Ethernet on Demand, which also keeps the embedded frame shorter.
